55 Albert Street,
Brunswick East

55 Albert Street, Brunswick East is a collection of 50 apartments situated directly opposite the green expanse of Fleming Park. Tucked between Lygon and Nicholson streets, the homes balance connection to nature with proximity to the area’s abundant hospitality, retail and amenities, accessible on foot or via tram. Designed by Jackson Clements Burrows Architects, the architecture responds thoughtfully to its context and is shaped by Neometro’s signature design values. Interiors, designed by Neometro in collaboration with JCB, focus on comfort, practicality and spatial clarity, while landscape design by Acre introduces planting and greenery throughout. Overview

Positioned directly opposite Fleming Park, homes look out to one of Brunswick East’s most loved spaces. With its wide sports field, off-leash dog area, playground, barbecues and picnic facilities, the park supports everyday recreation, with evening lighting extending its use through the winter months. Nearby, smaller outdoor spaces such as Methven Park offer additional places to walk or relax.

Brunswick East’s vibrant hospitality offering is just a short walk away, extending along Lygon Street and surrounding neighbourhood streets. From long-standing cafés and restaurants to smaller wine bars and local favourites, it supports both daily routines and evenings out.

ACRE

As with all Acre projects, the landscape design responds to the surrounding parkland context, creating outdoor spaces grounded in place and designed to evolve across the seasons. With equal emphasis on architecture and planting, Acre combines monolithic detailing with a sense of stylised wildness, bringing together enduring materials and a tactile flora palette to create landscapes that feel both structured and expressive.
