Designing a ‘forever house’ can be tricky. One has to be mindful of access, spaces that work for a couple as well as the extended family, together with creating something that stands the test of time. Office MI-JI, led by architects Jimmy Carter and his business partner, Millie Anderson, the duo was conscious of creating a timeless house for a couple approaching retirement that’s far from prosaic.
